A Taste of Paris in NYC: Ladurèe Soho
When your bestie is in town visiting, and equally loves Tea time as much as you, where should you go? On a warm, sunny, summer afternoon, strolling around Soho, we find ourselves in front of Ladurèe. This is a magical location I’ve been wanting to experience for quiet some time now.
From the moment we stepped inside this beautiful Tea Boutique, we felt as if we were transported to Paris effortlessly. This 18th century French decorated tea salon, feels absolutely delightful to walk into. When I first stepped in, I literally stopped in awe. I imagine this is what Heaven looks like. Dreamy pastel decor, French Baroque furnishings, luscious peonies, illustrated ceilings, surrounds the pastries and sugary treats that almost look too pretty to eat. We were seated out back in the romantic, Enchanted Garden.
As Miltiadis and I sat in the garden surrounded by Ivy walls, fancy chairs, antique fountains and handsome French waiters, we ordered 4 iced macarons that was served with a scoop of ice-cream of your choice. Our macaron flavours were Salted Caramel, Raspberry, Pistachio and Toffee. We choose the Rose Petal ice-cream that was absolutely divine. I felt my sugary dreams coming to life at that very moment. How are there so many textures in just one bite? I was delightfully surprised when I found out the macarons are made in Paris and shipped overnight. Impressive.
This was an exquisite experience, and there are so many more teas and pastries to try, so I will absolutely be back here for more enjoyment. This location is just magical. I recommend this Tea Time spot to all!
