Declutter Your Life And Heal Your Soul

Have you ever sat down and felt overwhelmed, uninspired, and stressed? As if your life felt like a HOT mess? I’m talking physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually? Well, I sure as hell have and I know I can’t be the only one! Who can relate here?

When I read the bestseller book, The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo, I realized how cluttered my life was. Marie writes, “Keep only the things that speak to your heart. Then take the plunge and discard all the rest. By doing this, you can reset your life and embark on a new lifestyle,” and OH YES she was right!

We all have a choice, we can hold on to all of our possessions and not let them go or we can let go what doesn’t serve us with grace and ease. When we are blocked by too many possessions, we feel stuck, stressed, and trapped. When this happens, we can’t see clearly and block all of the flow of abundance which ultimately gets in the way of our goals and success.

What does clutter look like?

- A lot of stuff lingering in your apartment or home

- An overload of unanswered emails

- Closets and drawers stuffed with junk

- A car filled with papers, garbage, & clothes

- Unfulfilling relationships

- Incomplete projects

- Mental chaos

- Uninspired

- Unfocused

This is too low vibe and not welcomed in my life! I had realized that my hectic on-the-go lifestyle left my space in complete disarray. The disorganization was causing distress in my mental space. Not ok!

Ask Yourself:

- Is my home space clear and aesthetically pleasing to live?

- Do I feel good when I’m home?

- Does my stuff fulfill my intentions?

- Do I use/wear it?

- Am I managing my stress?

- Am I getting enough rest?

- Am I achieving a healthy work/life balance?

- Am I positive?

- Am I grateful?

- Am I setting time aside for my creativity?

Clutter in your life will make it really difficult for you to create more space for abundance and the things you do want. It will not only affect your home life, relationships, and mental health but your businesses also!

I used to love to keep everything. After my grandparents and father passed away, I wanted to keep ALL of their stuff since it felt sentimental to me. It took me a lot of time to clear out and donate a lot of things and mentally detach from their stuff. I had to realize that their stuff is not them nor going to bring them back. I only kept just a box worth of their possessions that held the most meaning to me. What felt even better was donating. Donating feels amazing! It feels so great to help someone who may find a use for the things you don’t use and wear.

Over the last 2 years I have completely decluttered my home, relationships, & life, and not only does my home feel way more tidy, cozy, clean, and organized but I am more:

- Focused

- Successful

- Organized

- Connected

- Prepared

- Calm

- Inspired

- Clear-minded

- Motivated

Now I want you to picture the vision you hold for yourself. Write it down. Write down what you want to achieve, how you want your home to look and feel, your goals, the success you want, etc. Is the old stuff you carry welcomed in this new picture you hold for yourself?

Alexandria’s Tips on Decluttering:

-Declutter your physical space. Your workspace, your home space, your car, etc. Toss or donate the items that you don’t use and aren’t helping you grow into the person you aim to be. Go through every room, every drawer (yes, even your junk drawer) and every cabinet. This will not happen overnight, it takes time.

-Declutter your beauty products. Throw out old makeup, the unused shampoo bottle, and half-used lotions. Those old hair brushes you never use? Toss them.

-Declutter your relationships. We are directly influenced by the people we choose to surround ourselves with. Ask yourself are the relationships your in serving your highest good? Are they supporting you? Encouraging you? Motivating you? Loving you? If not, it’s time to move on. It is so important to be surrounded by people who love, support, and are happy for you. Say goodbye to relationships that are not in your highest good and this will create space for new, inspiring people to enter in your life.

-Declutter old fears. Live in the present and recognize that your fears are not welcome. When you declutter the fears that live only in your head, you create space for success and happiness.
